Dr. Anderson’s career experience includes nine years at Reata Pharmaceuticals, where he was a named inventor of Skyclarys, the FDA-approved treatment for Friedreich’s ataxia, a rare neurodegenerative disease.

As Senior Chemist at Macrocyclics, Dr. Anderson manages custom synthesis projects, including small molecule synthesis, complex peptide conjugates, analytical development, and impurity identification. He also assists in the development of new catalog products. His deep understanding of fundamental mechanisms often proves critical to project success, helping Macrocyclics advance complex challenges efficiently—from bench-top design to multi-gram production and GMP controls.
